Safety Training (OSHA)

The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) contains over 100 training requirements related to workplace safety.  LG² Environmental Solutions, Inc. (LG²ES) can assist you in training the appropriate personnel to comply with OSHA regulations (29 CFR Part 1910). LG²ES staff is fully certified to instruct the following list of training courses:

Employee Emergency Plans and Fire Prevention Plans
1910.38(a)(5)(i), (ii), (iii) states, “the employer shall designate and train a sufficient number of persons to assist in the safe and orderly emergency evacuation of employees.”

Portable Fire Extinguishers
Training for proper use of fire extinguishers and potential hazards of incipient stage fire fighting must be provided to appropriate personnel (1910.157(g).

Powered Platforms
Employees must be trained as required in paragraph 1910.66(i) (1).

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Any personnel required to use PPE shall be trained in its proper use and maintenance (1910.132(f) (1-4).

Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout)
1910.147(c)(7)(i)-(iv) states “The employer shall provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by the employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, and usage, and removal of energy controls are required by employees.”

Powered Industrial Trucks
Prior to permitting an employee to operate a powered industrial truck, the employer shall ensure that each operator has successfully completed the training as per paragraph 1910.178(1).
